Bits of our Fourth of July Weekend

Our first Fourth of July in San Francisco in pictures. . .

Saturday. Sloan and Kensie playing baseball at Giant's Stadium and riding the slides at the Coca-Cola Fan Lot. A great (free) place to take kids when the Giants aren't playing at home. Baseball and Fourth of July; doesn't get much more American than that!

More rides. This time on the historic Yerba Buena Gardens' Merry-Go-Round

Catching a free circus in a park oasis in the middle of the city

A hot day in the city. But not to last. . .

Sunday. Fog rolling in. . .

Crossing the Golden Gate to visit an active lighthouse; Point Bonita.

First you have to go through this. . .

Then only two at time, you have to cross this. . .

Over this. . .

To reach this! Happy 4th of July!

One of my favorite 4th memories was from
when I lived in SF. The fireworks turned the fog different colors. I can still picture it!

Our coldest fourth of July ever was spent in San Francisco a few years ago. So much fun, but chilly! Glad you had some sunshine! And you are all so brave to walk across that bridge to the lighthouse--not sure I could have done it (or even watched our children do it)--I'm a total chicken when it comes to heights and ledges! But what a fun memory.

What a beautiful family you have... and what a fun holiday.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your oh, so kind words...
Yes, we are so blessed with the miracle of our children... God is so good! So fun to find another family whose children were born in Russia and China too.
God bless you and I look forward to getting to know you better.

I just wanted to say I miss your family updates. I have the book at school that I won on your blog last year so I think of your family each day when one of our Kindergartners look at it:)
Hope all is well with your family!
