We are back in San Diego, and though I hate to brag, but while most of the country is in a deep freeze, we are experiencing an, umm, bit different climate here.
We'll just have to make do with sand sledding at the beach instead of snow, and eating snow cones instead of building snow men. Oh well, just one of the pitfalls of life in SoCal but we're managing. ;)
Next up: A LONG overdue holiday wrap up and our Kensie's 3rd b-day!
Stay warm where ever you are!

Awwwwww, the pitfalls you all are enduring there in SoCal. Such hardships, indeed. You can always come visit if you get tired of all that sun and warmth. lol. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law live there and it's such a gorgeous place to visit. If you ever see anyone who looks exactly like my husband, it's his brother. :)
BTW, Leila and I made your Russian coffee cake recipe this morning. We love it. It was the perfect start to our snow day. In fact, I just snuck a little piece for a bedtime snack. Shhhhhh... don't tell anyone. Thanks again for sharing the recipe!
Enjoy the sand sledding. That is my kind of sledding!
Happy New Year!! Looks like yours is off to a great start:) I am so envious that you are enjoying the sun, sand, and water and we are experiencing arctic temps. Although after all the holiday goodies consumed this season, I would not want to be in a bathing suit just yet:(
Looking forward to your next post....and a Happy Belated Birthday to Miss Kensie.

so jealous! it is frigid here in NC...high of 30 today! very untypical!
have so much fun at the beach.
Tisha, I just may have to cross you off my friends list for this post. Sniff, sniff, hack, cough, shiver. Although I'm sure I'll add you back on when I'm feeling better AND the temperatures rise above freezing. *grin*
Oh--wish we were there! It's snowing in parts of Central Florida this morning and that's so not right--I don't even own a winter coat! Enjoy the warmth and sunshine--send some our way soon!
Tisha,
If you were trying to make me green with envy...well you succeeded! I cannot imagine how incredible blissful the warm sun and sand would feel right now. Kensie and Sloan look like they are having a blast!

What a beautiful family you have! Precious pics! And, I'm with ya! It's hard not to brag about the weather when you live in SoCal. :)
That sand sledding looks like fun! Sloan must love it. Josh would have loved to partake this weekend. Sorry we were not able to make it down for a visit to sunny SoCal.
LOL! Now THAT is just not fair! We just may be heading your way....
Tisha, Sure would like to hear some updates on what Sloan is doing now ..ie exercises and such. I am so interested in this syndrome. I am wishing I was not so old, I would LOVE to have specialized in the education of our exceptional children. So much has changed! Thanks for sharing with us.
