We truly had the BEST teacher this year. Sloan has been blessed beyond words to have been taught by this extraordinary woman of God. She has shown Sloan the love of Jesus! Thank you Mrs. Witters!!!!!!!!
I knew today would be cute and that there would be a few tears, but I did not expect for a group of kindergartners to minister to my heart. The love and exuberance these wee ones have for Jesus is heart-warming. They are not worried about tomorrow or regretful about yesterday. They simply savor the moment knowing they are taken care of. I realized that we are called to do the same. Even though we have many more challenges than a six-year-old (finances, recession, illnesses, marital problems, etc. . . ), the call to live for today and savor the moment knowing that God is taking care of us is still the same. Today reminded me of what is truly important in life; God and family. These children have learned to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled. It really is true that everything we need to know, we learned in kindergarten. I pray that the Lord does amazing things with each of these special lives.
And now on to the show . . . (Warning! I have lots of videos and pictures but this is our family scrapbook :) Everyone told us that we have quite the performer on our hands. One grandmother came up to me and said that Sloan is ready for American Idol. :) I don't know if Simon Cowell will last that long.;)
This first video is actually an encore performance from earlier this year but too good to pass up. :)

Sloan with his Gammy and Papa

Sloan with his "Auntie Jean". Thanks Jean for loving Sloan and Kensie so much!

Sloan with Chad's mom, his grandmother

The graduate's mei mei. When do I get to steal the show?!

Here with my dear friend Kristyn. Sloan and her son are great buds. I think Kristyn and I had more fun this year in kindergarten than the boys did, but don't tell them. :)
The best one for last

Our graduate growing into a strong (little) man of God.

Sloan's got great stage presence--and moves!--to go with his good looks! And what a special award/recognition he earned. Know you're proud.

What a beautiful post, Tisha!! It sounds like Sloan has just flourished in kindergarten. I can only imagine what first grade holds for him.
The girls are sleeping, so I'll come back and watch the video later. The first frame of the second video looks like it's from an SNL skit. lol I have no doubt Sloan stole the show.
I came back and watched the videos... Hollywood, watch out!! A star is born!! I loved the one with he and his teacher. How special.
You have such a beautiful family. I have followed your story from the My Adoption Website.
Sloan is pure entertainment, god bless both your children, they are beautiful.

Just had to pop over (because three comments on one post just isn't enough, LOL) and say how much I genuinely love your comments. You are such a thoughtful and caring person.
Hugs to you, my friend!
